Rick Van Velsor is an industrial designer who has been bringing innovative products and events to market for over 25 years. His early career was shaped by a range of increasingly escalated leadership roles in theme park operations, theatre, entertainment and special events. His passion for excellence and independent drive led him to open his own design agency in 1998, Fun Haus & Big Bang Toys, specializing in toy, game and action figure design for some of the biggest names in the industry including Marvel, Hasbro, Fisher Price, Mcfarlane, Universal, Toy’R’Us and Ogo Sport. During this time Rick furthered his education with a Masters of Industrial Design at Pratt Institute, where he would later become an Adjunct Professor. In 2003 Rick expanded his business to include his passion areas of Entertainment and Special Events, managing and running operations for Central Park NYC and the fashion, music and art industry. In 2015, Rick created Eventures Entertainment, a culmination of all of his talents and creative expertise where vision, planning and execution converge.
